ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Class (Exemplar Global) with Value-Added Auditing emphasis (Plexus International)

This course provides either new or current internal auditors and understanding of ISO 9001 and a process approach methodology. Participants will acquire the necessary skills to become a leader in preparing and conducting audits from a value-added perspective. This is accomplished through interactive methods and by avoiding lecture-based learning. A successful completion of Plexus International’s "Exemplar Global - Certified Internal Auditor Training” meets the training requirements for certification of individual QMS Internal Auditors.

Learning Objectives:
  • Perform audits based on ISO 19011
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the ISO9001 Standard and the Process Approach 
  • Form an audit team 
  • Conduct an audit meeting 
  • Determine needed documentation and organize according to the standard 
  • Classify, record, and resolve non-conformities 
  • Identify added value through the internal audit process
  • Implement preventive measures to avoid future non-conformities

Risk-based thinking

Learn the taxonomy and concepts of Risk through the use of hands-on, interactive learning. This portion of the Optimizing your Accreditation-PRN course covers an in-depth review of the basic risk management frameworks (ISO 31000), including risk management principles and their application in your hospitals ISO 9001:2015 system.

Learning Objectives:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the terms and definitions of the Risk taxonomy
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the framework provided by ISO 31000
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the risk management principles as applied to healthcare organizations
